Steve Bensler
Mechanical Engineering Designer located in Southern Ontario
Serving Waterloo Region and the GTA
At the moment, my work primarily focuses on the Automation Field. With-in this field, I specialize in Health Sciences and Power Generation. I have worked with-in other sectors, including commodity and automotive, where I have gained valuable experience.
I have been working in the mechanical design field since 2014, starting in plastic injection equipment and mold design. I migrated to the Automotive automation industry in 2017. Since then I have focused on gaining experience and knowledge in many sectors of automation. In 2018 I obtained lead roles in various government based power generation projects. In addition to the power generation projects I simultaneously lead multiple health science based projects in 2021. My experiences were supported with product design and development in these fields.
I have physical experience in many aeras within the mechanical space, manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly to name a few. From a young age, I honed my skills in welding, machining, and creating mechanical systems. I have also participated and mentored in robotics groups through-out my life, which allowed me to learn and develop a diverse set of tools and skills to become a more effective and communicative designer, and leader, capable of delivering successful solutions.
I strongly support the concept of team-based projects and solutions. In my view, it is important to involve all areas of expertise, such as millwrights, machinists, and electricians, to collectively review and discuss potential paths to success. I firmly believe that by working together, and reviewing constructive criticism, we can achieve success regardless of the size or complexity of the project at hand.
